Wigan SPAA – Coach Development Project Launch 22-10-2007
Wigan Sports Development Unit, in partnership with the Wigan Borough Sports Council and the Wigan Coach and Volunteer Steering Group, are pleased to announce the launch of the Coach Development Project. The project has two main aims:
- To support individuals in accessing coach education opportunities (new and existing active coaches). - To support coaches and clubs in the development of active coaches – master classes.
The project will allow individuals and clubs to apply for up to £250 to support their aspirations of development with the sports coaching arena. This could be in terms of accessing a National Governing Body award, another recognised qualifications that will assist their sports coaching, or amateur clubs accessing high level sports coaches to deliver developmental workshops for their current sports coaches.
More information on the project can be found by following the links in the Coach Education section of the website where you can download your application form and guidance notes.
If you have any further questions or queries regarding this project, please contact Mike Watson at Wigan Sports Development Unit on 01942 488480 or email m.watson@wlct.org
