Active Clubs

Wigan Sports Development are committed to supporting and developing the thriving network of voluntary sports clubs and organisations in the Wigan Borough. This support assists clubs by providing:

• An annual Active Clubs Audit

   

• A Club Directory on the Wigan Borough Sports Council website

   

• Coach and Volunteer Workshops

   

• Support for clubs working towards National Governing Body Club accreditation

   

• Access to the generic Clubmark Accreditation awarded by Greater Manchester Sports Partnership

   

• Information and support on applying for funding

   

• Advice and support on establishing High Quality School to Club Links

   

• Opportunity to nominate and attend the Annual Wigan Borough Sports Awards
